Effective Jan.16th 2007, FHWA states that all privately owned or manged property that allows for public travel must comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

  • A new minimum reflectivity level has been set by the FWHA and you must estabolish and maintain these levels with-in the next 4-6 years. Important Note: 1) Your traffic signs must be high intensity reflective. 2) Engineer grade will not comply.

  

U-Channel Sign PostsMUTCD: Break-away Sign Posts

All sign supports must be break-away if sign is in the clear zone of roads posted at 50mph or greater.  Old post must be replaced within the next 4 years. Use break-away sign posts with any new installations to ensure you comply.
